About Dr. Schueler:

Dr. Ronald Schueler is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Neurology.  He graduated from Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Akron, Ohio. His neurology residency occurred at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina  and was completed at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. 

Dr. Schueler is a native of Carroll County, Maryland.  In 2002, he opened his neurologic hospital and rehabilitation center in Westminster, Maryland. 

 

About Us and Our Facility: 

We are a referral veterinary hospital dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders of small animals.  Our six thousand square foot facility sits amidst the rolling hills of Carroll County, Maryland.  It is our goal to provide a relaxing and tranquil environment conducive to healing.  

Our facility includes a rehabilitation center geared toward aiding our patient's recovery.

With years of veterinary experience in neurology, we have the best tools and staff available. Below are listed the answers to some questions our customers often have. 

Q:How do I make an appointment?
A:You should make an appointment with your primary veterinarian.  If your veterinarian thinks your pet's condition is neurologically related, he or she may contact us directly to refer your pet or you can contact us directly. 

Q:What is a neurologic examination?
A: A neurologic examination is a historical and specialized physical examination encompassing all body systems and their interaction with the nervous system.  Neurologic examinations are necessary before Dr. Schueler can give his recommendations for the best method of treatment for your pet.
